clunking and grinding rear wheel, not bearing, what??

Clunking sound on wife's '95Aero for over a year. Very subtle at first, now pretty substantial. Definitely have it pegged on rear wheel, well probably.... This is a clunk that travels through the car, is now a substantive clunk with each wheel rotation. Also some grinding feel.

I was sure it was the rear bearing, so replaced the RR bearing with a used one. Sound is unchanged. No noise when I rotate the tire with no load either with old or new bearing.

Rear brakes seem ok, except that when I replaced the bearing, the internal allen screw seemed weird when I was tightening it down, and I wondered if it were stripped, though it sort of seemed to tighten. Everything else seems ok with the brake.

I'm stumped and looking for suggestions. Any ideas?? Thanks!
