the way it's cracking suggests that the oval/donut end of the key is entirely plastic, because when i turn the key the end cracks and moves suggested eventually it would crack off and would no longer remain attached to my key chain. i guess i'm going to try some epoxy/crazy glue type stuff and see if it does anything.
