Hi all-
Thanks to everyone who helped resolve my seat heater issue. They work great now.
I wanted to post on the board to ask fellow 9000 drivers what I should be looking out for, or planning on replacing in the near future. Any tips would be appreciated.
Here is a link to some pictures if you'd like to see the car:

Here's what I've done so far:
1995 9000 Aero 5 spd with TCS (transmission shifts like it was new, see below for engine...its basically new again)
111,000 miles on the odo
Replaced:
In 2005:
- rear main seal
- full clutch, slave, master, hoses
- fuel pump, plugs, oil pressure switch
- starter motor
- new Dunlop tires
In 2006:
- Unknown...I bought the car in June of '07...
In 2007:
- new Dunlop tires
- rotors and pads, all around (Brembo, Saab)
- fuel filter, sealing rings
- fuel pump check valve, fuel pump relay
- fuel pump
- valve cover gasket
- JT 3" catback installed (stock exhaust had some holes)
- Taliaferro open air intake installed, filter changed (K&N)
- radiator, replaced with later model Nissen from Denmark
- thermostat/gasket
- Forge diverter valve with yellow spring (suspected Bosch bypass valve starting to fail)
- Nordic Stage 2 ECU from GenuineSaab.com
In 2008:
- Front end retorqued
-------MAJOR ENGINE OVERHAUL--------
- head gasket
- piston rings
- rod bearings
- upper chain guide
- chain guides
- timing chain, timing chain cover
- chain tensioner
- machined head, valve job
- water pump
- head bolts
- belt rollers
- belt tensioner
- spark plugs
- serp belt
- 02 sensor
- oil pan o-rings
- oil pump seal, o-rings
- upper radiator hose
- thermostat, gasket
- 3" JT downpipe added to current JT system
- Taliaferro race catalyst replaced cat converter
-------------------------
- fog lights, bulbs
- and today, seat heater repaired!
Of course oil changes every 3,000 miles.
Planned for within the next 8 months (feel free to comment)
- polyurethane bushings and mounts
- heater core, blower motor, motor resistor (controller)
- cabin temp sensor...if above does not fix heat :)
- full wax and polish (body is in great condition)
- Stage 3 Nordic upgrade (if i really need more power...:)
- considering seat covers from Saabstuff, but not for a long time...seats are still in mint condition and I haven't heard back from them
- ACC panel bulbs (happening this week)
This is my third 9000 Aero (previously 1994 and 1993.5 Aeros)
I know this a long and intensive list, and there are some things on here that are just regular maintenance. If there's something I'm missing, or should be on the lookout for, feel free to chime in. This could also be helpful to other 9000 owners, I suppose.
Thanks in advance!
