I installed e-codes on my 95 Aero a few months ago, see answers below...
-------------------
I understand the euro headlight unit for '98s is physically a straight swap for the US stock unit. Is that correct? ---YES, PLUG AND PLAY
Will a "stripped-down" euro unit fit the frame of a US model? ---NO SUCH THING
Is there any pre-wiring in the '98 US CSE model wirng harness for leveler motors? ---NO, YOU'LL NEED TO BUY THE LEVELING MOTOR SWITCH AND WIRE EVERYTHING YOURSELF (AS FAR AS I KNOW, HAVEN'T DONE IT ON MINE YET--CAR IS IN STORAGE FOR THE WINTER).
Are the REFLECTORS and Bulb holders in euro and US headlight units the same? ---NO
Has anyone had any success replacing ONLY the front glass of US units wirh euro replacement glass and clips? ---NOT POSSIBLE. ECODES AND US SPEC USE DIFFERENT GLASS, HOUSINGS, BULBS, REFLECTORS, ETC
Are the euro and US units physically identical so that clip-attached front glass will actually fit a US headlight unit once the US front glass is removed (if it can be!)? ---SEE ABOVE
