And I assume the best fix is just to turn to 9K speedometer. Just count:
- cable for speedometer
- speedometer sensor for injection ECU (I've got Lucas and it uses speed input for adaptive purposes), cruise control and other stuff
- ABS which definitely knows the right speed; and has a summ output btw
ABS ECU will gimme source pulses (46 per wheel rev for M1990+ models; it doesn't depend on tires, uh?) and it's not a big deal for me to build up frequency converter.
I haven't tried it yet but as much as I've heard about 9K speed sensor and its design it should give about one or two pulses per its rotor rev. At last I can ping some local 9K folks here and test their sensors. So the main question is what's the gear ratio between wheel and the shaft that spins the sensor.
