Yes, I'm on the east coast, in North Carolina. The car has spent most of its time in this state, except for a bit in New York City when I lived up there. It has some rust in the rear quarter panels. It would be fairly easy to repair at this point, and the car could really use a repaint, but I'm debating whether to put that much time and money into the car, even though I do plan on keeping it as long as possible. You're absolutely right that the number of old-style 9k postings has really diminished in the last few years. It wasn't too long ago that they were common, now you hardly ever see them. Realistically, the newer style 9ks are so cheap now, and probably better cars, that there's not much point in buying an older one or keeping it running. I'm still gunning for 400k, but work from home now and don't put on the miles as much anymore, so it might take a while!
