Anyway, I'm not sure where I remember reading this, but I think I remember reading about how some head bolts had issues with stretching. I recall being told to get new head bolts when I replaced my head gasket.
Maybe you should get a new set of head bolts and replace them (methodically, of course) in the order you are supposed to tighten them?
Anyone else hesitant to load and un-load head bolts repeatedly without checking them for stretch?
I hope you get the head fastened tightly (and leak-free) and that engine running nicely.
