Jerky throttle after engine wash - driving me nuts!

When coming on/off of the throttle, the car jerks. It's as if the gas pedal is an on/off switch, it's not progressive. This happened immediately after a VERY LIGHT engine wash. The engine also immediately revs to 1500 RPM for a moment on start-up, before dropping down to the normal idle of 850 or so. When revving at a stop, it seems to hang around 1200 RPM or so before dropping to idle. Prior to the wash I didn't have any of these issues.

This is on a '93 Aero, 5 speed, TCS. Every vac hose recently replaced, new PCV, recent DI, new plugs, new bypass valve, new air filter, just cleaned the throttle body. My first instinct is the TPS, I'm considering pulling it off to clean. Suggestions?
