I've found that, aside from 'Econ', to put even less wear on the ACC and blower motor: I'll crack the passenger side rear window down an inch or so. Then I'll tilt open the sunroof. The air enters at the right side rear, circulates across the back seat, and goes up the sunroof.
It's my "spring and fall" cooling option the past couple of years.
