97 Aero water temp gauge: suggestions?

Has anyone installed an additional water temp gauge in a late model ('96-'98) 9000? The factory gauge is somewhat useful but I do not trust it; I want to know what the water temperature is so I can react more quickly to overheating events--not that they occur routinely on my car. My 97 Aero is all stock and I'd like to somehow keep the factory temperature gauge (works with the ECU) but install an additional gauge that I can monitor more closely and trust. If anyone has any suggestions and/or photos of how they accomplished such a feat I sure would be very appreciative of that information. Thanks a lot!
