I've run Nokia Hakapiletta II's studded, on 9K's now for about 10 winters. I get at least 3 winters out of a set, rotated every 5K. I agree that they are expensive, but when you consider the longevity, I'm not so sure they're more costly in the long run than a cheaper tire. There are lot's of tires that sellers around here say are "just as good as a Nokia", and maybe if you don't have to GO when it snows, they are. If you want to save some money, you may want to consider Green Diamond. (Do a search on this site), or Altimax who my stepson, a Saab indy, swears by.
