Pink wire is amp on , wires are looped back on the amp connector probably because the installer at that point to the pre amp inputs from the radio and ran them to the speaker out wires , that way he can bypass the amp and go directly to the speakers ,falls under " can we wire it in 10 min's job" tacky work .
back to your connector issue
top connector is the amp on (pink wire ) and 8 wire ( or 4 two wires twisted for each speaker , for example Left front positive and left front negative are twisted together ( balanced input setup to amp )
Middle connector goes to the in dash cd player
Bottom connector is power , ant ,ground Acc etc...
Speaker outputs come from the amp normally but like I said soulds like they to they bypassed the amp as there radio had a internal amp ,thanks wasyl at saabradio
