dim twitching/blinking parking light when parked/off Posted by Henry Helfman [Email] |
As it's getting a little older I'm getting a new line of minor electrical bugs. (still can't figure out why my blower motor randomly doesn't want to hold it's speed) but this one is very bizarre and I worry that it may run my battery down because it does this while parked.
When it's parked sometimes I'll notice 1 side of the amber lights (the front/side/rear parking/turn signal) lamps are dimly twitching. It's only bright enough to be noticeable in the dark. The turn indicator arrows in the cluster do not (as I can see) illuminate when this happens. Last night when I parked, the passenger side only did it. I hit the lock button on the remote and it went off, then randomly came on again for about a minute. When I first noticed it a few weeks ago, the driver side lights were doing it and I heard one of the relays buzzing from the passenger dash area but I didn't have time to pull it down and really check it out. Instead I pulled fuses until it went quiet/off and left it with peace of mind. I believe pulling the CLOCK/RADIO MEM fuse is what temporarily solved that problem that time.
I'm guessing a bad ground or relay solder joint somewhere but would love any input
