Alternate idea for Transmission oil cooler hose Posted by Bill Homer [Email] (#3427) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bill Homer) on Wed, 15 Oct 2008 09:25:11 In Reply to: Tansmission oil cooler hose, oni, Wed, 15 Oct 2008 07:18:07 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
If you can get the hose out, why not have it rebuilt locally? There are specialty shops that take the metal ends of your hose and replace the rubber portion - I assume that this is your problem. The one near my hose is called "The Hydraulic Shop", look for something similar in teh Yellow Pages or call a parts place that deals with trucks or construction equipment. I had this done with my power steering hoses a few years ago, they have been fine since (the shop claimed that the hose they used was stronger/better than the OEM material). Be sure to bring it to them intact if possible so they can orient the ends properly.
