yes, what *does* almost ran out of gas mean? If you leave the garage in the driveway and let it idle does it run out of gas????
slamming the trunk is unlikely to effect anything here. how is the mileage? what does the miles to empty display say? given the reading on the gauge, are the number of miles used on this take about correct? Wild guess, has someone else put a couple of dollars of gas in the car?
If the car stumbled under load or acceleration that doesn't necessarily means it's running out of gas.
