First, there is a big debate on whether to replace the bolts when re-torquing which I will not get into. I will say that I replaced the bolts when I did mine.
Step one is to "break" (loosen) all the bolts, in the sequence that yaofeng described, and get them all at the stage 1 torque of 44. At this point, you can replace the bolts one by one, torquing each new bolt to stage 1 torque as you install it. Even if you don't replace the bolts, its a good idea to take the bolts out one at a time, clean the threads, blow out the hole, make sure all threads are meticulously clean and thoroughly oiled, following the same procedure as if you were replacing the bolts with new ones.
Then, torque to stage 2 torque and finally the 1/4 turn. A breaker bar really helps on the 1/4 turn as the torque is pretty high at this point.
