Cheap easy way:
1. Wire wheel what you can
2. Coat inside/outside in POR-15
3. Find a piece of thick enough sheet metal like an aluminum street sign the size of entire floor section
4. Buy a couple tubes 100% silicon adhesive caulk from Home Depot
5. Use excessive amounts of adhesive caulk to glue metal to floor
6. Spray undercoating all over bottom
6. Put carpet back over
7. Go grab a beer
Don't laugh, this works quite well and keeps the car on the road wihtout noticing the work done.
