You can't just pull the pictogram relay. Well, you can, but the brake lights won't work. I'm assuming its the brake lights that are giving you trouble. The relay isn't a relay- it's bulb filament current monitor. The current for the brake lights flows through the device - it measures the current, and compares the current flow between the left and right bulb sets. If you pull the monitor, then you interrupt all the circuits.
If you did pull it, you'd need to jumper all the circuits. That's a pain, and likely a jumper or two would fall out and you'd lose the brake lights. You could just cut the wire in the relay panel that goes from the relay (marking them both carefully so it could be repaired by the next owner).
If you're specific about which lights are bugging you (there are separate headlight and tail light monitors), AND the year of your car, I might be able to help with wiring diagrams.
