The fasteners used are the same as those on the splash shields..and they have the same problem -- the 6mm bolt and metal insert become one via rust. One unscrewed OK, the other 3 had to be pulled out, leaving a ~11mm hole in the plastic bumper cover. Here is a solution: cut two 1/8" thick x 14 mm (so it will fit through the slots in the bumper cover) x 60mm aluminum plates, then drill and tap to fit 6mm bolts 40mm apart. Slide the plates through the slots and between the bumper cover and the foam cusion until the holes line up. I then used stainless bolts.
