I think I'm in a sub population of the minority because I have for the last 15 years or so run Valvoline 20-50 full synthetic in my Sonett 3 and changed my 97 9K to the same when I bought it 2 years ago. We have two other C900Ts where we run the same oil and a 9-5 on 20W-50 as well. On top of that our indy uses the same in his 9k that has well over 750K on the clock. I live in AZ where I prefer the thicker oil and I use Mann filters and change them every 2500 miles and change the oil every other filter change. I have never had any engine or turbo issues. The key is regular, routine maintenance. If I lived in a cooler climate then I'd probably run something thinner. Stick with thick! :)
