ignition lock cylinder Posted by Keith [Email] (#1462) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Keith) on Sun, 21 Dec 2008 20:19:28 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
need some advice. this evening, when turning off the ignition after a short drive in my wife's 95 cs auto i found that i couldn't remove the ignition key from the ignition cylinder. the cylinder would only return to the first ON position(the one where you will still have power to the radio). it would not return all the way to the locked steering wheel position. in the past year we've needed to pull the key out of the ignition switch if we wanted to restart the car after turning it off. is this a tumbler issue? is it related to the shaft that locks the steering wheel to the steering column? anyone else experience this problem? oh...and if the lock mechanism is malfunctioning,is it fixable?
thanx,
