Having 4 Saab's in the family, 83 900T, 88 900S, 89 900T and 89 9000T, gives ample opportunity to check them out. Love the 83 900T and the 9000T the best, the latter is more refined and is just about as refined as I prefer, any more refinement would have dulled the sensation of driving a fine-tuned machine.
The turbo spinns to the edge of the orange zone and leaves behind any number of BMW's.
The seats are as comfortable and as supportive as the best of them.
The hatch swallows most of the furniture pieces with the seller's jaws staying on the ground.
The paint is still glossy after 20 years.
The leather shows some wear on the driver's seat but is otherwise in great shape, no tears, no seam separations.
The automatic temperature control works great.
It gets 29 mpg on the highway.
What else can one ask for?
