Have you ever changed the rear bushings of front control arms? If not, they are quite overdue for replacement at 160,000 miles. If you need to check them, put a front side of the car on jackstands and use a prybar to pry around this bushing, start with the one on the right (pothole) side - you might be surprised at how much movement you see. Replace with either OEM or polyurethane, the Scantech bushings have a reputation of early failure.
