'96 CS FPT 5-spd 125k mi

We took my car to the train station to catch a train to Boston for the day, family time.

I noticed the ABS light was on when I started the car.

Drove to bank and realized the pwr windows weren't working (at the Drive Thru)

Then had to walk into the bank and the engine sounded like a coffee can ful of bolts rattling.

Then realized the wipers and blinkers were not working. The radio and heat DID work.

I popped the hood and heard this weird noise coming from the intake manifold area, TB area.

I assumed it was the alternator but it was spinning on the belt just fine.

We had to make a train so I kept driving and we went to Boston for about 4 hrs. When we got back the car would not crank, dash lit up though.

I tried to jump it but no go. I tried to jump it from my wife's '05 Volvo V70 SW. It has a battery in a spot other than under the hood. I attached pos to the terminal near the fuse box and the neg to her engine block and the other cables right to my battery. This is the opposite of how you would jump a car but this is what her manual said.

I don't know what the heck went on today.

I guess I have to get it towed to my Indy because I don't know where to start on this one. I don't want to tow it to my house and then get it towed again to his shop.

Any ideas?

I need to get it towed tomorrow from the Train Station lot.

Thanks in Advance

Peter
