At the moment, I am working 1991 9000 CDE with auto tranny that appears to have a circuit draining the battery.

From what I gather, a normal draw of 35 milliamps is okay (due to the central lock/clock and radio memory using some power). I am using an old OTC multimeter which is about 15 years old (still has a function on it to measure dwell angle inside the distributor !! lol). On my OTC multimeter, I don't have a "Ma" unit of measurement. Rather, I just have my "amp" jack noted as "10A". The readings I am obtaining (with all fuses in and an oil jug pressing down on the switch for the alarm system on the rad support)are a fluctuation between 0.02 and 0.03. Can I assume that moving the decimal over to the right 3 times (i.e. x1000) will give me a reading of 20 to 30 milliamps? If so, can I conclude that I don't have a battery drain problem?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. TIA
