Problem with high idle and TPS error after engine swap Posted by AdamB [Email] (#3) [Profile/Gallery] (more from AdamB) on Mon, 9 Mar 2009 09:26:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Well I just had a completely rebuilt B234 including JE pistons and removed balance shafts installed and it runs fine so far except for a couple of things:
1. Check engine with p0120 code. Tried a new TPS without success. Double checked all connectors and contact cleaner was used when engine was installed. Measured 0V from pin 1 to ground.
2. For some reason power is supplied to A/C compressor all the time, even with it switched off in cabin. Had to pull the fuse at the pump to kill power.
Power to the A/C is cut when TPS shows more than ~75% open throttle, right? Could a short or bad connection to TPS make power to A/C all the time?
I'm getting hold of a wiring diagram at the moment. With an engine reinstall I guess a frayed wire is most likely? The trionic box is "new", so isn't a bad PCM unlikely?
