this may not be the car for you. I'm reading between the lines a little here but it sounds like you blame the car ie. "failed ME enough times." The truth is you failed the car, you didn't take care of it and that's why it left you stranded. A properly maintained 9000 can provide reliable service for 200,000 or 300,000 miles or more. The fact you bought another car instead putting the money into making your 9K reliable also suggests a sort of fatalistic approach to car ownership. There's absolutely nothing on this car that can't be fixed and it could be very reliable--if you put in the time, money and effort to make it so. And if you can't do at least some of the work yourself it can be very expensive. I may be wrong, but you don't sound like the kind of person who is likely to do that and if you don't, it's going to be one break down after another. You might be better off selling it and buying the best Honda, Toyota, Subaru, etc. you can muster.
