Coming out of work today, a few minutes into my drive, and a bunch of white smoke comes out of the hood. Pull over to the side of the road, and sure enough there is some coolant (a tablespoon or 2) sprayed around the engine compartment. Looked around a few minutes and couldn't see any active leaks, so drove home on the highway about 20 miles, keeping one eye on the temp gauge the whole way.
No issues
Got home and cleaned everything up, still can't see any active leaks. All hoses look good - maybe a little soft on the upper, but no real bulges or soft spots. Coolant not significantly down, nothing out the ordinary. One thing I did notice is that AC is not blowing cold anymore, but heat still fine so assume heater core fine.
Figured when thermostat opened there was a rush of hot coolant and a bit somehow got on the fan which slung it around. Not sure why the AC gave out though.
Any ideas of where to look, what to replace? Plan on driving it tomorrow (90deg day) so any help would be greatly appreciated.
