Wanted to introduce myself because I'm sure to have a few questions in the near future. Just purchased a 1998 9000 CSE with 250,000 miles (yikes). Car starts,runs/idles smooth, shifts fine, does not pop out of gear, interior great shape for year, let idle for a while then drove pretty hard and temp gauge stayed below half, oil looked clean and coolant showed no signs of oil, the AC even blows cold. I'm a little concerned about headgasket with that milage but price was to good to pass up. Oh and it has nice Aero rims! I have a 85 spg and tinker on that so was wondering if 9000's are similar. I noticed no distributor but that seems to be major difference. Any suggestions on things to check or replace like hoses etc.? I do need to find plastic corner on drivers side rear under lights. It is a sectional piece that's cracked, hopefully easy to replace. Car is red if anyone knows of a parts car. Any good or bad things to know about a 98 CSE? Thanks!
