Hi all, my 94 Aero 5 speed with 240k-I have finally decided to park it until I get the trans fixed.THe ominous clunking finally got me to admit it is time. With such hi miles I couldn't see spending 1600 for a rebuild on my unit, and the down time.
I have located a used unit with 125k for $500. I think I will roll the dice with it and save a grand.
Is this changeout feasible on the garage floor? Just thinking of the how high one would need to lift the car to get sufficient clearance.
(I have done a trans before, but on a car lift, with trans jack!)
