Automatic 9000s always have the CSE ECU and the Garrett turbo, as Jeff Cullen points out.
This is due to the lower tolerance for power in the automatic transmission itself. To help its longevity, Saab engineers deemed it wise to equip automatic Aeros with the garden variety CSE bits. Still fast!
Personally I don't see the point in upgrading CSEs to Aeros. How much power do we need? Better to save the dough for needed upkeep and repairs. Just my opinion of course.
