short answer is yet. Basically all of the DI systems, be they the black or red cassettes measure resistance across the gap and make setup changes based upon that. That's one of the reasons you will hear of doing an "adaptation run" if you have the battery out for an extended period of time (or one of the electrical boxes changed). The system can actually change timing on a per cyclinder basis, and then remembers those local setings as a starting point. it can modify those too if knock happens.
