Which piece? a part of the Hardened Grommet Or a piece of the Plastic Hose firtting? Depending on the suspected size of the piece . If smallish (pea sized) I would n't worry about it Even hardened it's still very soft compared to the metal bits in the engine and it cannot get past the Oil intake filter. I suspect half the Saans on the Road have ingested a piece of that grommet. I know mine almost did on the weekend
