I rarely put the seat backs down in my Aero, I just fold the bottom portions forward and use the back seat "bench" for more cargo area. This way, you don't damage the seat leather on the bottom cushions. If I had something oblong to carry, then yes the back portions would go down (for as little time as possible). Gotta love these seats.
