Every 9K is different and every driver has a different level of tolerance for vibration.
I replaced my rubber torque arm bushing 2 weeks ago on my '96 fpt automatic with Powerflex poly, which is claimed to be only a little denser than the original rubber mount. I noticed immediately faster shifts and more vibration at idle.
The old rubber mount was 6 years old (about 67,000 miles on it), still functional but had 4 cracks. I might have noticed more vibration even if I had replaced it with rubber.
Now the car feels "normal". No doubt it is still shifting faster and vibrating more at idle, but I'm used to it. I'll probably replace the bushing closer to the engine with poly after a month or so.
Give yourself a little time to adjust before spending more time and $ on this. If vibration is still a concern after 2-3 weeks, then go with Craig's advice.
