has been doing the job on my '95 and '96 for 3 years. It's meant for polyethylene tanks used on boats and the washer tank is the same stuff. I used latex or nitrile gloves and smeared the stuff onto the tank around the mounting bolt.
Be sure to drain the tank first and maybe blow hot air on it with a heat gun or hair dryer to be sure the water is out of the crack. As I recall I drained it one day, let it dry over night, then hit it with the heat gun to be sure.
Not all silicones or epoxies will stick to the tanks long-term.
