I have a 1995 9000 Aero. The EDU says that I've only got 8-9 volts left when the car starts. I replaced battery last Fall, but that didn't help. The EDU says that I've got around 13.5V when the engine is running. The positive battery cable has green corrosion at the battery end. So I figure that replacing the battery cable should increase the lifespan of the battery, right?
TheSaabSite lists different part numbers for the 1990-1994 and for the 1995-1998 battery cables. And they're $53! RockAuto lists a $17 AC/Delco cable for the 1994 Aero and a $9 aftermarket cable for the 1994 CSE. Can I just buy a 1994 cable and bolt it on? Or is there a practical difference?
