In general, the N/A cars have a higher final drive ratio than the turbo cars to help their performance, but will attach to the engine (same bolt pattern, etc.). However, the 1991-92 turbos also had a pretty high final drive ratio, so you should be OK - a few of the gear ratios might be a bit off, but with so much torque on tap, should not be a big deal. See chart of compatibilities.
The inner driver on the left side of the N/A trans will be smaller, but this should be easy to replace - it is on the 1994+ transmissions. In fact, when this was done on my 1994 car, my indie removed the output flange from the trans before removing it, leaving the inner drivers and boot attached to the axle. Take a look before you start, buy a new rubber seal.
