I am assuming that you have a 2.3L NA engine. Does the engine have a red DI cassette over the spark plugs? If it does, then, yes, you have a sensor like the 1990-1993 models. To reach the sensor, you must remove the harmonic balancer (i.e., crank pulley) to get at he sensor. There is an aperture ring attached to the harmonic balancer and the sensor is mounted to the timing cover. The sensor is attached to the timing cover with two Torx screws. My guess is that you will have to transfer the Hall effect sensor to the new sensor housing, then splice sensor into the cable. The other end of the cable is one of the 3 terminal blocks next to the battery.
