Although I live just over 3000', I was in the White Mountains (CA) last June and the car definitely cranked a few extra times at 11,300'. I'd try tightening the gap on your plugs just a bit to see if that helps. Alternatively, you could just wait 'til you get down the hill and see if it's different.
Where are you in CO right now?
