This car might be great but I would offer these two observations after owning several 9000s over the past 13 years.
1993 was a transition year for the 9000 and as such, there are parts that are specific to that year only. That could make it hard to find replacements, especially if you find parts from junk yards (as I do often). Also, the lack of a turbo will greatly diminish the fun factor of the 9000. We have an Aero and a CS upgraded from LPT tp FPT, and they are both a blast to drive, but if they didn't have the turbo, I would probably be driving one of our other Saabs much more.
If it were me, I would keep looking for a 96 to 98 5 speed in any trim level as they were all turbo.
