the exhaust valves? My head has been straightened (it was warped after an overheat) and the machinist was grinding my valves when I arrived to drop off the cams, bearing caps, etc. for re-assembly. I explained that the exhaust valves had a hardened coating on them, but was unsure if they were sodium filled. He was not lapping them into the head yet. The valves looked "OK" prior to him grinding them, so I assume he will not be taking much material off of them. Should I be concerned about a future burned valve? My indy (only Saab and Volvo) recommended him. He has had heads rebulit there with no problems. Am I being paranoid about the outcome?
