yeah, never ever start with reverse bleeding. you should only resort to that technique after you've tried and failed to bleed all the air out using the normal method. I've never had to use those shenanigans on a 9000, only on a c900, and I'm not sure it helped there. At least if you bleed it properly first, the fluid will be clean. And to answer your question, the air would be pushed out into the brake reservoir, as would any crap in the lines, which is BAD BAD BAD to have in your brake reservoir.
