inner driver/companion flange - ? Posted by bmacb [Email] (#684) [Profile/Gallery] (more from bmacb) on Tue, 8 Jun 2010 09:33:03 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Short version-
How do you separate the inner driver/companion flange from the bearing seat (the bracket with the five bolts that attach to the transmission)?
Long version -
I am trying address what i believe is a worn inner driver (driver's side - 97 CSE manual). I pulled the inner driver from a parts car that I have (96 CS Automatic) by removing the 5 bolts that hold the bearing seat to the transmission. It appears that while the inner driver is the same, the bearing seat is different between the manual and automatic. Therefore I need to "extract" the inner driver from the bearing seat. Any suggestions on how to do this?
Thanks
