I am debating selling my '93 9k Aero w 152k miles. It runs excelent and the interior (inc dash and leather) is almost perfect with all the electronics working correctly (except door locks)However, this car makes me un-easy due to a strange creek in the subframe while shifting/turning at low speed, original power steering componants (noisy), and of course, Electronic throttle system. It also started pulling to the right slightly in the last week but does not need an alignment? I bought the car in early April and I have put at least $500 into it already. I have had to replace the serp belt due to failure of a bolt connecting the A/C compressor bracket the engine block.(luckily this happend in my driveway but still left me stranded for two days and had to get a tow) I replaced nearly all of the bushings in the front suspension. Also, my DI quit and I had to buy another Cassette!
I absolutly love the 9000 cars and they have served me quite well (this is my second in the last 5 years). The style and function of these cars is unbeatable even compared to some brand new vehicles if you ask me. I just don't know if I will have the time or resources to keep up on this particular car. I am thinking of getting into a newer Saab, perhaps a 9-5. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
