it is actually a decent box. Still prefer a 5-speed, but the autobox shifts well up and down. Feeling the downshifts is nice.
As long as it shifts smoothly you should be fine. As others note, do a fluid change. The general rule is change it 3X to get all the old stuff out, as you can't drain the torque converter. Do the filter with the last change. This will use up 3 gallons of the ATF of your choice, as about 1 gallon comes out each time you drain it. Then you're good for 10-15K.
I drain a gallon every other oil change, which keeps things reasonably fresh.
