It's actually running better than ever. Could get a bit better local mpg's, but we're not out of spec for the mpg stat analysis I did here a couple years ago.
BTW - it's more likely to be on constantly when the ambient temp gets lower. Intermittent, as described, at 80+ deg, on constantly last night at 70 degs.
I'm getting some fuel smell in the cabin though when I try to run the ac - I'm betting elcd - which I can swap out of the '90 9kt.
AC's a bit unpredictable, but I'm gradually getting that under control.
I don't have to worry about emissions testing and have limited access to a code reader (that I don't get charged out the wazoo for - should watch for one on ebay). You can't cross pins on the connector and read the codes by flashes like the older GMs as far as I know.
Was a little rough on the startup idle when very cold - but a cleaning of the AIC fixed that - first cleaning about 7 months ago improved that significantly. AIC working well in summer now & might be cool when it gets colder, or another cleaning before replacing that - they're pretty robust.
The AMM I have doesn't fit after all - it's from a 2.0 l. I'm gonna recheck the connections/readings in the 2.3 l and vac lines again today. I've got a drawer of new grommets and connectors, so I'm just gonna change out anything loose. Couldn't hurt.
Frankly, I'm not too worried about it, but my wife is the type of person who has to mention it every time she drives - she drives the 9k sometimes, but never the 900T.
Thanks, Buck
