Simon is correct, the 1989 tube fits. I've had my tube out couple of times on my 1990. Loosen the filler tube from the intake manifold first. Remove the rear engine mount bracket. (Put a jack with a wood block under the oil pan to support the engine.) Once the engine mount bracket is off, there is an Allen socket cap screw that holds the metal plug in the sump. Pull that out and you will find the o-ring. Sometimes the plastic tube splits where it fits over a a metal barb on the plug. If that happens, you have to decide if you want to try to fix the tube, buy a new one, or see if you can clamp a short piece of hose over top the tube and barb.
On the 2.3L engine, I don't remember the arrangement. It seems to me that the tube goes into the block, not the oil sump. But, that could be the B235 engine, not the B234.
