I've just converted my R12 Isuzu Trooper (1989) to enviro-safe, which I believe is similar to Dura-Cool. The Trooper had been professionally converted to R134a several years ago and the results SUCKED ... the A/C would barely cool, whereas the original R12 had been fabulous. So far, I'm very pleased ... A/C doing pretty well even on 95 degree days here in Washington DC area.
the hydrocarbon refrigerants run at lower pressure than r134a, also are CHEAPER than r134a. use same charging equipment, etc.
I may try the conversion with my 93 9000. although it came stock with r134a, it doesn't cool particularly well.
for more info on enviro-safe re legality, safety, etc. check out autorefrigerants.com/Envirotechnical.htm .
i have no commercial interest, etc.
regards, graham
