If it any consolation, the A1-Cardone rear caliper rebuilds are no better. I bought them at my local auto parts store because they had a lifetime warranty and were available when I needed them. I'm on my second free replacement (that's 3 calipers total) on the right rear side and on the first free replacement (2 calipers replaced) on the left. They seem to get stuck after two winters. It makes me mad, because I can't let the kids drive the car after 2 years for fear that the hand brake will stick. At one time you could buy brand new ATE calipers for about $175, and I wished I did the first time the brake failed. On my 1990 9000, I bet I've replaced the right rear caliper a total of 5 times. 3 replacements for the left side. The original rear brakes (right side first) probably went 10-12 years ago.
I would be nice to find a better rebuilder, but I haven't found one so far. I have a garden sprayer pressure bleeder that I made before the Motive bleeder was available, so at least the replacement goes pretty fast.
